We are looking for a Security Engineer to perform a broad variety of duties regarding Network and Information Security for our company. The Security Engineer will help establish standards, policies, and procedures, and works with contractors and vendors to ensure the security of our 24×7 operation. The position will be responsible for reviewing the day-to-day security logs and taking appropriate remedial actions on security issues to ensure our network is as secure as it can be with the available tools and resources. The Security Engineer will also work with members of the Networking Team to help design secure and functional network infrastructures for new sites and locations.

Duties:

* Help the company achieve PCI compliance.
* Responsible for firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Proxy Server/Content Filtering equipment.
* The Security Engineer will identify new site or upgrade requirements, design a solution, and implement new security architectures.
* The creation, implementation, and maintenance of the Security Policy and Information Security Program as well as develop an Incident Response Team. The Security
Engineer will provide training to end-users if necessary so they can efficiently cooperate with the Information Security Program and know when and how to report
incidents.
* Will perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to ensure that the network is secure. Vulnerabilities will be prioritized and remediated on a timely basis.
* Keep the company compliant on all regulatory requirements concerning Network and Information Security.
* The Security Engineer should be familiar with MS Windows operating systems, security controls, and server hardening.
* Additionally, experience with alternate operating systems (Linux, Unix), software (Snort), and applications development to ensure that best practices are implemented
would be beneficial.
* Will be responsible for physical security devices and entry control systems.
* Experience with Cisco routers, switches (Catalyst and ProCurves), IDS/IPS, firewalls (Cisco ASA), Cisco Security Agent and TriGeo SIEM.
* Act as a mentor to junior members of the team, helping foster team spirit and growth.

Education/Certification:

* A Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems Management, Telecommunications or Networking subject or 5 years experience in lieu of degree.
* SSCP or CISSP preferred.
* CISA, GCIH, GCIA, and/or GPEN recommended.
* CCSP also helpful.
