Self-storage facility seeking PART-TIME maintenance worker in Chatsworth. Applicants must be able to work a flexible day shift.

Summary: Under general supervision performs a variety of maintenance duties at self-storage facilities; will perform customer service duties as needed.

Requirements
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and have acceptable results of a background check
Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally
Demonstrate effective customer service skills on telephone and in person
Have recent computer experience (preferably MS Office and/or self-storage software such as SiteLink)
Unless otherwise indicated, must maintain valid driver license and car insurance

Essential Functions
Maintain the property in a clean, orderly and safe condition and make repairs as needed.
Assist in managing day-to-day maintenance of property
Show and rent available storage units or space;
Collect all rents, accurately enter data into software system when needed;

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit or stand for at least 8 hours per day
Must be able to traverse entire property grounds for audit, maintenance or tour purposes
Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs frequently and 40 lbs occasionally
Must have previous general maintenance experience
Must be able to perform general minor maintenance and custodial duties of the facility including but not limited to sweeping/mopping floors, removing debris from vacated units, cleaning restrooms, removing dust and scuff marks from walls and doors, picking up refuse on the property and removing weeds.
