We are a medium sized online dating company located in beautiful Calabasas California with offices in three different countries and a distributed network spanning 4 data centers.

General Requirements:
We are looking for a Level III System Administrator as defined by the System Administrators Guild resource (SAGE). You will be joining a fast-moving technology company overseeing a large infrastructure distributed over multiple data centers and countries. Candidate should be an expert in LAMP environments, have a strong sense of network and systems security and have a strong network background in general. We are looking for someone with expert knowledge in maintaining security for high availability/high volume web environments. Main responsibilities include design, installation, configuration, monitoring and threat management of a Linux environment. Web infrastructure consists mostly of apache, mysql and php.

This position will require a motivated, experienced and organized person to contribute to a team of software developers and network engineers.

Requirements:
The person selected will have the following qualifications:

Minimum Required Qualifications:
*A minimum of 7 years in the Administration of LAMP Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP
*Expert in Bash shell
* Strong background in both host based and network based security practices including but not limited to deployments of firewalls, virtual and physical security zones and denial of service mitigation.
* Strong background in design and implementation of layer2 networks including a strong understanding of 802.1q virtual/tagged networks.
*Advanced knowledge in configuration/administration of virtualization technologies including VMWare, KVM and Hyper-V.
*Expert in administration of multi-flavored Linux environments
*Ability to work well within a team environment

General Preferred Qualifications:
*Experience with administration/configuration and maintenance of Juniper firewalls and Routers
*Security monitoring and penetration apps such as Splunk, OSSEC, Tripwire, Metasploit, Suhosin
*MySQL backup/recovery and administration
*Windows Server administration – Active Directory, IIS
*Works well independently with solid analytical, creative and problem-solving abilities
*High-quality written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills

Salary & Benefits:
Salary will be between $80K and 100K depending on experience and the skill set provided. Upon completion of a probationary period we also offer a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and paid time off.
