Senior Web Producer / Content Strategies Manager
ConsumerTrack.com is seeking a dynamic individual to oversee content strategy and new feature production for the GoMediaNetwork.com portfolio of financial websites. This position will manage and motivate a team of staff and freelance editors, bloggers and writers, and develop and maintain the editorial calendar for work on our own and our content partners’ websites. Additionally, the Senior Web Producer will be involved in identification, requirements gathering, and prioritization of new website features and improvements that will enhance user experience, content and revenue. In this role, the Senior Web Producer will specify and provide guidance for the efforts to produce these new features with the project management, design and development teams.

Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Business or Communications or equivalent, plus 2-4 years experience in a Content Strategist, Editorial, Producer or Product Manager role.
• 2+ year’s management experience.
• IDEAS person – keen ability to look at a site and find areas for quality improvement, as well as ideas that will improve user-experience, reduce bounce rate, increase repeat visitors, drive viral link-sharing (social media interest) and improve community participation.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to work in a team environment in situations in which ambiguity and multiple priorities are likely.
• Proven business analytics and requirements gathering experience is essential.
• Experience in building a project plan and the ability to manage and escalate deviances from the plan as they occur.
• Proficient in HTML with strong technical aptitude.
• Experience managing communities and driving user-interaction and UGC in a Web 2.0 environment.
• Excellent ability to write, speak, and use images to clearly and persuasively communicate in technical and non-technical subjects with both technical and non-technical audiences, as well as the ability to garner consensus on a final vision of the product and/or core project goals.
• Knowledge of AP Style and strong grasp of grammar and the English language.
• Passion for the web and desire to serve as a change agent to improve digital media offerings.
• Knowledge of social media best practices, blogging and SEO a plus.
• UX / Interaction design / wireframe experience a plus.
Responsibilities:• Provide editorial direction for content publishing, including managing the editorial calendar and coordinating external bloggers, guest posts, syndication and content providers.
• Drive feature launches on multiple content, local and community-driven websites
• Improve user-experience and quality.
• Define requirements, estimate resources, schedule deliverables, maintain project documentations, budget and manage costs, motivate teams and resolve conflicts.
• Work closely with project managers, development, marketing and design to take ideas from concept to launch.
• Proactively identify and communicate issues and risks and escalate to the appropriate entities for resolution.
• Effectively communicate with all team members, including facilitation of regular status meetings and completion of weekly status reports.
• Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project.
• Stay current with the latest Internet/interactive technologies and seek out opportunities to improve our digital products.
