Temp to hire shipping clerk needed for well established company in west San Fernando Valley. Must be able to successfully pass background check and have high school or GED. Duties include the following: Preparing items for shipment, Preparing kits based on distribution list, Packing product using standard packaging guidelines, Affixing shipping labels on packed cartons, Assembling proper containers or selects preassembled containers for the shipping of products, Inserting products into containers using spacers, fillers, and/or protective padding, Posting weights and shipping charges, and affixing postage, Examining outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications, Completing appropriate documentation as needed for certain processes, Assisting in the unloading of daily shipments.
