SUMMARY
The Software Developer, Server Technology is the software engineer responsible for development of server software technologies at American Standard Television. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with the ability to work with concurrent projects and aggressive deadlines in a friendly, collaborative environment. If you are creative, analytical, and enjoy solving problems we would love to hear from you.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Help design and build different server applications and tools from scratch.
· Write reusable software libraries and integrate rich & scalable UI into web applications.
· Collaborate closely with other departments like database and QA for a smoother software development process.
· Research, evaluate, test and maintain software development tools and utilities.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
· Expert level knowledge and experience implementing dynamic, database-driven, scalable, high-availability web-based applications.
· Expert at .Net Framework 3.5 & 4.0, ASP.net, C#, JavaScript, AJAX.
· Expert at Object Oriented Design and Development, Web Services (WCF is a plus).
· Good at jQuery, CSS and rich Internet applications frameworks such as Flash and Silverlight, etc.
· Good at XML, Windows forms applications, LINQ, Software Design Patterns.
· Good understanding of relational database management systems and SQL.
· Experience with Task Driven Development and iterative Agile Development.
· Excellent version control workflow (VSS, CVS, SVN, etc.).
· Good problem solving techniques.

BONUS EXPERIENCE
· Experience with Content Delivery Networks such as Akamai, Level 3, etc.
· Experience with web analytics and providers such as WebTrends, Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.
· Experience with targeted advertising technologies and recommendation engines.
· Experience with Peer-to-Peer (P2P) and Distributed technologies and architectures, including Distributed Hash Tables (DHT).
