Platform Technology Group
We are hiring a software engineer to develop server-side code as well as web-based and swing client applications. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded and self-motivated developer who has a proven history of developing robust and highly-stable java applications. This role is responsible for going from high-level concepts and requirements to designing, developing and implementing the desired functionality.
Design, develop, and maintain Java applications used to improve and enhance the broadcast workflow; Example applications include: Network branding and Graphics Automation applications, Content Production Tools and Custom Content Management Systems
Collaborate with internal teams and clients to create innovative solutions
Deliver reliable solutions on-time, with minimal supervision
Develop Proof-of-Concept and prototype applications using new technologies and frameworks
Create requirement specifications, design documentation, and system documentation
Required Skills:
BS in Computer Science or Equivalent Experience2-4 years java development experience using object oriented design, a strong working knowledge of design patterns and modern frameworks.
Experience with Swing application development
Experience developing web applications with the following: JSF, Hibernate, EJB 3, Spring
Experience with database design, MySQL and Oracle.
Experience design web service API’s using REST/SOAP
Highly Desirable Experience:
Experience developing high-availability multithreaded applicationsExperience with TCP/IP development
Experience with C/C++
Experience with Broadcast Technologies and Graphics Systems
