Software Engineer

Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, and maintain code for back office applications that scales for large internet infrastructure
· Work with product, QA, and program management to understand requirements
· Continuously suggest and implement enhancements to our products
· Write thorough, comprehensive technical and high-level documentation
· Write thorough unit test cases and ensure high code quality
· Ensure timely delivery or features to production ensuring that any roadblocks or challenges are resolved

Requirements:
· BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
· Experience using APIs to set and retrieve data. Previous Google API work a plus.
· Deep knowledge and practical experience with Perl. Experience in other programming languages like C++, Java, or Python a plus
· Experience with Mason and JSON or general AJAX experience for usability a plus
· Experience in debugging running processes
· Experience with MySQL
· Experience optimizing performance of large databases a plus
· Experience developing/designing large software systems
· Creativity
· Ability to work in a challenging, fast paced, fluid environment
· Strong initiative and self management – capable of working on a self-sufficient basis and identifying areas of potential technical improvement
· Problem solving – ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
