Overview:
The mission of the QA Tester is to perform quality testing of software products for release to production.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirement and design specifications.
- Develop and execute test plans.
- Perform system integration and regression testing.
- Submit problem logs using the online problem tracking system.
- Perform testing on reworked problems logs and close the logs as appropriate.
- Effectively communicate software issues/concerns in a timely manner.
- Facilitate and assist in the coordination of change requests for the weekly web releases to production.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of software testing experience required; Internet software testing experience preferred; automated testing experience is a definite plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (MAC OS 9/X and Linux OS platforms are a plus) and browser software, including the latest versions of IE, Netscape, Safari, and Firefox.
- Good understanding of the software development and software quality life cycles.
- Ability to drive test cases from a technical/functional specification.
- Ability to formulate and communicate a test plan.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, and written & verbal communication skills.
- Ability to change direction on assignments and provide insight on operational related issues as it pertains to client and web architectures.
- Ability to quickly construct and formulate a testing scope for web-based issues.
