*** Solar System Design Engineer ***

We are looking for a PV residential & commercial design engineer.  
 
Requirements: 
• The engineer must have a clear understanding of the design process of PV (photovoltaic) systems.  
• The engineer must know what is required from the field to translate into an effective and time efficient design layout 
• Must have hands on experience with design from start to finish, (permit design packages) 
• Must have good AUTOCAD (or any CAD program) design ability 
• Must be able to research NEC , codes & standards, and any new revision required by the local building and safety jurisdictions 
• Must be able to conduct multiple projects in a short term deadline 
• Must be able to do load calculations for solar projects 
• Must be able to provide technical drawing, electrical single line diagrams, etc 
• Must have good communication & writing skills 
• Must have good organizational skills 
• Must know the coordination process with local city planning offices 
• Must work well with minimal supervision 
• Must know MS office suite — excel, word, etc 
• Must be an initiator and able to develop new process and procedures to streamline the design phase

Hours: 
Generally 8-5 hours M-F
