We’re growing at CityGrid Media and are looking for a Senior Linux and Cloud Engineer in our West Hollywood, California office.

Where Technology and Teamwork come together. CityGrid Media is seeking a Sr Linux Administrator with Cloud Experience to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The team is responsible for an increasingly virtualized (xen and eucalyptus) linux environment comprised of more than 200 physical servers, plus an expanding presence in Amazon’s cloud. There is a heavy reliance on open-source software.

• Automate the provisioning of entire clusters using python or shell

What is your background?

• 5 — 7 years of Unix/Linux Administration
• Highly skilled in a at least two typical scripting languages (shell/perl/python/ruby)
• Strong experience with configuration management tools (puppet, chef, cfengine)
• Product experience with Amazon EC2 and S3 (or Eucalyptus, Kaavo, GoGrid, CohesiveFT, Enomaly, enStratus)
• Web serving in HIGH traffic environment (apache httpd/tomcat)
• Server load balancing (hardware/software)
• Strong experience with Virtualization ( Xen, VMWare)
• Experience with Hadoop a plus.
• Ideal candidates have a wide range experiences, from hardware maintenance to application debugging/tuning
