JOB TITLE: Systems Consultant

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
This position requires the candidate to be both highly technical in several disciplines as well as possess the necessary soft skills (communication, time management, professionalism, project management, etc.) to ensure success.

Work closely with Prosum customers to understand their business, to analyze their current IT infrastructure (network and servers), and to make technology and IT process recommendations. Maintain all systems, applications, security and network configurations. Troubleshoot network performance issues and create/maintain a disaster recovery plan. Recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment. Provide technical support and guidance to users as well as internal technical support team members. This role requires the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives, under tight deadlines and navigate varying perspectives and needs, including but not limited to:
 Must be able to develop and present tradeoff analysis for technology and systems configurations
 Strong technical writing skills, network diagram skills
 Helping clients and internal teams to establish processes to manage and maintain systems
 Assisting with server hardware planning and configuration for optimal system performance
 Providing subject matter expertise and guidance on IT technologies, tools and processes
 Ability to produce comprehensive documentation of own work and present to clients
 Ability to design, recommend and implement technical solutions
 Lead technical team and including assign and manage the completion of tasks
 Manage client expectations effectively and communicate tasks both verbally and written
 Excellent presentation and communications skills
 Be technical escalation for other consultants
 Provide ‘tech’ talks to the consulting team
 Provide mentorship to other consultants
 Provide pre-sales support for scoping out new projects / support engagements
 Prior consulting experience
 Proven experience with a consulting methodology

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Must have expert knowledge (scope/plan/design/implement/support/troubleshoot) of several Microsoft technologies including;
 Active Directory 2000/2003/2008
 Exchange 2003/2007/2010
 Systems Center Operations Manager
 Systems Center Configuration Manager
 Citrix XenApp 5.0/6.0/6.5
 SQL 2000/2005/2008
 Must have good working knowledge of several other areas / technologies including;
 Hardware
 Networking / Security
 Storage (NAS, SAN)
 Virtualization
 BUR (Backup / Recovery)
 Must have designed and deployed large solutions in the areas mentioned above

Education/Certifications
*7 + years of related work experience, preferably in consulting
*BS (Business Management, Computer Science or Information Systems) preferred or equivalent experience
*MCSE/MCITP preferred
*CCNA preferred
