    Overview

    Technical Manager – Website Development
    This senior position would be integrated with a top tier SEO team to provide analysis and recommendations on architecture strategies as it relates to the interworkings of the major search engines — Google, Binghoo. The position will be heavily involved in web site optimization activities and analysis to help achieve client goals and objectives throughout SEO campaigns. The right candidate will be detail-oriented and very tech savvy.

    Requirements
    • 2-5 years experience working in a web production environment
    • Programming/coding — ASP, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, Flash, CSS, XML, MySQL
    • Understanding and interest in Web 2.0 — online communities, blogs, wiki, UGC etc.
    • Experience working on large websites (over 25k pages in size)
    • History of building personal websites (provide list for review)
    • Wide knowledge of popular CMS platform capabilities and limitations
    • Ability to perform detailed analysis of website elements, for example:
    1. Developing impact recommendations for changes to internal navigation while providing risk mitigation best practices
    2. Recommending changes to complex hierarchical URL structures, templates and crawl paths, along with required static and regular expression 301/302 redirects to maintain existing SEO value
    3. Troubleshoot and provide alternatives to problematic internal linking methodologies
    4. Ability to review source code and provide feedback on all manner of code not limited to Javascript, HTML5, AJAX, PHP and other popular languages
    • Up-to-date knowledge of current challenges facing the SEO industry as well as experience implementing the best strategies to optimize for recent SERP integrations such as Place Pages, instant, preview, etc.
    • High degree of skill in breaking down complex technical problems into smaller more easily understood pieces and presenting those findings with authority, professionalism and passion
