    We need qualified, experienced telecommunications equipment installers for contract positions. Please respond if you have experience in the following areas: 
     
    • Installing Telecommunications Transmission equipment  
    • Running cables in a central office environment  
    • Physically installing telecommunications equipment including frames and ironwork  
    • Providing your own installation tools, and accessories  
    • Providing your own transportation to central office sites in a regional area

    Detailed Job Description 
     
    Purpose: 
    You will install transmission equipment as required on customer sites and perform preliminary testing of associated hardware to support successful job completion while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.  
     
    Minimum Skills / Training:  
    Must be experienced with Safety, Business Code of Conduct, Quality assurance and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD).  
    Must have formal “Basic Installation” training.  
    Must be able to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.  
    Must have sound knowledge of the phases of product installation. 
    Ability and experience with leading a project or multiple projects major plus.  
    Contractor must provide own installation hand tools and accessories. 
    Must provide your own transportation to central office sites in a regional area. 
     
    Primary Responsibilities of Position: 
     
    This is an experienced position with strong to excellent understanding of Telecommunications Installation. 
     
    Responsibilities include knowledge of and experience with basic building and construction of product hardware architecture at the customer site. Working independently, you will inventory the hardware and physically build the product following the hardware job specifications and drawings. You may be called upon to perform power verification.  
     
    Additional responsibilities: 
     
    • Understand and use established safety practices.  
    • Implement quality control processes.  
    • Perform inventory of all job-related material.  
    • Read and stay current on installation documentation.  
    • Read and interpret engineering specs, prints, and drawings.  
    • Demonstrate proper use of tools.  
    • Perform all physical and mechanical installation activities.  
    • Perform power and grounding installations on equipment and small power plants.  
    • Perform power verification and power-up of equipment.  
    • May perform Site Team Leader duties as required.  
    • Travel away from home for several weeks as may be required on demand.  
    • Perform shift work as required upon demand.  
    • Lift a minimum of 25 pounds as required.  
    • Conduct work assignments, communicate, dress, and assist customer in a professional manner.
