Buffalo Studios is looking for a talented writer to join our growing team!

We are committed to developing massively played high quality casual and multi-player social games. As we expand, we need documentation for several game properties in various stages of development.

Looking for an in-house writer to assist the Lead Writer in maintaining existing game documentation. As they ramp up on our design style they will get their own game documents to master in terms of quantifying and organizing the design elements. Individual needs to have a strong sense of the space and be able to think about the “full picture” of the game – i.e. be able to articulate and quantify granular qualities of the game as well as their own thoughts on transitioning certain projects from a broad genre / gameplay description to an engaging casual social game design. Since we are a social game company this is a game design task — not a narrative one.

Requirements
Experience writing Game Design Documents. Ideally for Social games.
Strong verbal skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to independently synthesize core concepts of social game engagement, virality, and game mechanics into easily legible document form.
Must play social games.

Individuals with firsthand knowledge designing or balancing at least one “shipped” game are preferred.
